humectant
Hygroscopic substance that attracts and retains water. Moisturizes the skin. E.g.: Propylene glycol, urea, honey, ceramides, glycerin, sodium hyaluronate, sorbitol.
hyaluronic acid (INCI: sodium hyaluronate)
Hyaluronic acid is a natural component of the dermis that plays an important role in moisturizing the skin. This substance fills the space between the collagen and elastin fibers. It decreases in quantity and quality with age or with exposure to environmental factors, which causes the skin to dry out and wrinkle. Hyaluronic acid has the ability to hold up to 1000 times its weight in water. Intended to fill the intercellular spaces and retain water in the skin, it contributes to a dense skin texture and rebound, characteristic of a beautiful quality of skin.

Water-soluble.
hydroxy acid (INCI: vaccinium myrtillus fruit extract (and) saccharum officinarum (sugar cane) extract (and) citrus aurantium dulcis (orange) fruit water (and) citrus limon (lemon) fruit extract (and) acer saccharum (sugar maple) extract)
E.g of AHA: Lemon fruit extract, Vaccilium myrtillus fruit extract which are in phase 1 of Visionnaire CrescendoTM. AHA exfoliate the skin by promoting the elimination of dead cells from the skin’s surface. It helps to improve skin tone and clarity.
hydroxyethyl urea (INCI: hydroxyethyl urea) It is used to moisturize and soothe skin.
