red dulce (INCI: palmaria palmata extract)
The Algae family is comprised of more than 20,000 different known species, each containing chlorophyll as its primary photosynthetic pigment. Given its natural inclination to process sunlight, red algae has been proposed to help provide the skin with potent antioxidant protection. A member of the algae family, red dulce extract helps dissolve excess melanin within the epidermis and boosts melanolysis.
resorcinol (INCI: phenylethyl resorcinol)
An antioxidant that is considered effective in reducing the formation of pigmentation, and used as a brightening ingredient in skin care products.
resveratrol (INCI: resveratrol)
Molecule selected by L’Oréal Research & Innovation. Stimulates mitochondrial synthesis, restores the skin’s energy balance, and acts on skin density.
retinol (INCI: palmaria palmata extract)
Is a fat-soluble derivative of Vitamin A that must be derived through diet.
It is an ideal ingredient for potentially enabling the skin’s natural protecting abilities. By speeding up cell-turnover rate, retinol may help to visibly revitalize skin, as well as improve the appearance of facial lines and skin-discoloration.
