                  By the late 30s, Lancôme had already launched nine new fragrances. In 1936, barely a year after launching his brand, Armand Petitjean was determined to offer women only the very best, to afford them those privileged moments of beauty, grace and elegance in many forms.
Ever the entrepreneur, he knew his business would never flourish unless he offered women a complete beauty range—opening the door to the future of cosmetics. Lancôme completely transformed research, and pushed back the confines of creativity, universality and pioneering technology for the benefit of innovative beauty discoveries that grew increasingly generous.
Soon skincare, makeup and new fragrances and fragrance forms followed in the complete service and delight of women.
