EAT, SLEEP, EXERCISE
A good lunch is important for your health. A lunch box or a Japanese bento can be a great investment. These small meal boxes enable you to compartmentalise your food.
Very convenient
for bringing your lunch to work, all you need is a dash of motivation to create your own menu!
you are what you eat
Eat 3 meals a day at a regular time. Do not skip meals, and avoid snacking in between. Dinner should be light to facilitate sleep. Protein based food (fish, egg, meat) stimulates attention, so prefer them for breakfast and lunch, while carbs are preferable for dinner.
Staying hydrated is important for good health. Drink zero or low-calorie beverages, such as water or tea (at least 1.5 l/day). Sweetened drinks add lots of sugar and calories to your diet: this in- cludes fruit juice, soda, “colas”, sports and energy drinks, sweetened or flavored milk, and sweetened iced tea. Before sleeping, herbal tea or hot non-dairy milk with honey are very good.
Reduce any extra fat or hidden sugar from your diet: this includes butter on bread, sour cream on baked potatoes, and salad dressings (prefer a dash of olive oil). Rather than frying meat, bake, grill, or broil it. Take off the skin before cooking chicken or turkey.
Eat plenty of fruits and vegetables with your meals and as snacks.
