                WELL-BEING
EAT, SLEEP, EXERCISE
Waking up feeling refreshed and ready
to start the day feels good; however, a good night’s sleep has many other benefits.
why sleep matters
Missing sleep makes waking hours less produc- tive and can have long-term physical and mental health consequences. Simply put, our bodies and brains need to rest in order to work at peak performance.
During sleep, the brain makes new connections, builds memories and compartmentalizes the data received throughout the day. Sleep also plays a role in healing and repairing heart and blood vessels. In addition, a lack of sleep can also lead to hormone imbalance, and thus to poor eating choices or appetite troubles.
To facilitate sleep, remember to keep your room temperature at 18-19° and to remove screens (TV, PC, cell phones). If you experience sleeping troubles, also avoid night-lights and use blackout blinds or curtains.
