                   Originally, eaux de cologne, with their fleeting fresh green notes, were designed exclusively for the men’smarket. Itwasnotuntil1969, when Lancôme created Ô, with a floral jasmine accord and above all a chypre base, that these eaux de Cologne finally acquired dif- fusion and tenacity. Lancôme thus became one of the very first brands to break into the female Eau Fraiche market.
Launch of Ô de Lancôme
Ô was for the romantic yet modern woman, a tantalizing blend that was perfectly illustrated by the fashion of the time, which can be summed up in a single word: freedom. The frosted glass bottle with its delicate designs on the surface is delightfully fresh. In the light, its soft green colour is as temptingly refreshing as a walk through the morning dew in summer. In 1988, a luminous green stripe lined with gold was added to the bottle— the perfect foil for the soft, diapha- nous green of the perfume within.
Ô d’Azur and Ô de l’Orangerie were added to the Ô collection in 2010 and 2011.
